Appointments


We know you have many choices when choosing a Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Pinecrest, FL so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible.

Scheduling Guidelines

We will try to accommodate your requests for specific appointment days and hours. However, because we treat only children, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GIVE EVERYONE APPOINTMENTS AFTER SCHOOL. We do prefer these times for some of the older children whose absence from school more readily affects their education and grades.

There may be times, however, when appointments will unavoidably conflict with school time. Teachers usually understand these problems, agree about the importance of dental care, and accept school excuse forms provided by our office. We prefer to see our younger patients in the morning when they are more alert, less tired, and in a more positive frame of mind to accept dentistry. MORNING APPOINTMENTS FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 will benefit both your youngster and our older patients seeking after school appointments.

There are certain dental procedures that will ONLY be performed during morning appointments, regardless of age. Children requiring behavior modification techniques including extra time or extra staff, will be asked to make morning appointments. Some orthodontic and long cosmetic procedures also require morning appointments.

If you are asked to make a morning appointment, PLEASE COOPERATE. Remember, a time will come that we'll be asking the same of another patient in order to accommodate your child in the afternoon!

Emergencies

If an emergency occurs during regular office hours, your child will be seen as soon as possible that same day. If an emergency occurs during times that the office is closed, your call will be handled most efficiently if you explain to our answering service that you have an EMERGENCY. Explain the nature of the emergency and give your telephone number. LEAVE YOUR PHONE LINE OPEN so that your call can be promptly returned.

Reserved Appointments and "I'll be a little late"

An appointment time is reserved specifically for your child. This convenient appointment system helps our office run smoothly for both patients and staff.

We schedule an appropriate amount of time for the procedure your child needs and we take pride in staying on schedule and preventing unnecessary waiting time. We respect YOUR time and ask that you show us that same respect.

When making an appointment, please be sure that other obligations that day, including carpools, allow you adequate time to arrive promptly for your dental visit. Your cooperation allows us to be on time for our other patients and their parents.

If you know you are going to be more than ten minutes late, please call before you come. That way, if it becomes necessary to reschedule your child's appointment, you will have avoided a hurried late trip to the office and a mutually embarrassing situation at the business desk.

If you find you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call IN ADVANCE so that we may reschedule your child at a convenient time, and enable us to fill this cancellation with another patient. There will be no charge if we are given 24 hours notice (48 hours on "no school" days). Should you fail to contact us, there is a minimum charge of $75 (or the current prevailing rate) per visit for the missed appointment time. If you have 2 or 3 children scheduled for appointments at the same time and find that one of them will not be able to come, please try to keep the other appointments to avoid multiple CHARGES for missed appointments.

There will be no charge for changes in appointments if we are given 24 hours notice (48 hours on "no school" days). Should you fail to contact us, there is a charge of $75 (or the current prevailing rate) per visit for the missed appointment time.

 

Insurance and Billing


We now accept most PPO plans!

We believe that high quality Tooth Fairy-Land dental care should be comfortably affordable to our patients. Financial consideration should not be an obstacle to having optimum oral health, attractive smiles, and feeling good about your child's appearance and level of self-esteem. Yet, we are sensitive to the fact that everyone's financial situation is different. For this reason, we offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs.

 

Payment Options


Appropriate financing arrangements made in advance allow you to start dental care immediately and to spread the payments over a period of time in order to enjoy the benefits of good dental health without financial strain.

Cash or Check: We offer an 8% prepayment book-keeper's courtesy for all treatment over $1000 paid in full prior to treatment. 

Credit Cards (VISA/MasterCard/American Express): We offer a 5% prepayment book-keeper's courtesy for all treatment over $1000 paid in full prior to treatment (not to exceed card's credit limit).

Monthly Credit Card Installments: Pre-authorization can be arranged to charge your account on a specific day each month through "VISA EASY PAY." No interest will be charged if the payment schedule is followed.

Payment by Appointment: This is a line of credit extended by our office that requires an initial down payment and that the balance be paid in equal installments spread over the number of visits required for treatment. This is our most popular option.

"Care Credit" Card: We can offer you the opportunity to apply for a "Dental Charge Card" that will allow you no initial down payment, immediate treatment, and small monthly payments spread out over a long period of time. This leaves your other credit cards available for other purchases and offers an interest-free option. This allows many families to meet their monthly budgets. Ask us for an application.
